I love this book! The writing is so beautiful and perfect, it brings everything and everybody clearly and excitingly to life. There isn't a single character, large or small that isn't well developed and real. I'm not usually into magic fiction ... but this book had me hooked ... where's the sequel? I want it nooowww! The kids - Brooke, Dot, George and Irwin are all cool (okay maybe Irwin's not so cool) and so well written that it's easy to see and hear them all as unique individuals. All their hangups make them very relatable. The kick ass action story line just added to the enjoyment.
